Introduction of Mixed Billing
From 1 August 2022, our clinic was transitioned to a mixed billing system for GP consultations. This means a small gap fee may apply to most appointments. We remain dedicated to keeping your out-of-pocket costs as low as possible.
Our practice has proudly offered bulk billing since opening. However, due to rising operational costs, this change is necessary to maintain the high standard of care you expect.
Affordable Fees
We continue to support our patients by setting our fees below the recommended rates from the Australian Medical Association (AMA), helping to keep healthcare accessible for individuals and families.
Medicare Rebates & Tyro Payments
For your convenience, we offer on-the-spot Medicare rebates using Tyro.
- Please bring your physical debit card to your appointment to receive your Medicare rebate instantly
- We accept EFTPOS, credit cards, and cash
- Alternatively, ensure your bank details are linked to Medicare for rebates to be deposited within 48 hours
Appointment Guidelines
To help minimise waiting times and improve access for all patients:
- Standard consultations are 15 minutes and intended for one health issue
- If you have multiple concerns, please book a longer appointment with your GP
Bulk Billing Eligibility
We will continue to offer bulk billing for:
- Children under 15 years of age
- Patients with a valid concession card*
Please note: Bulk billing for KIDS AND CONCESSION CARD HOLDERS does not apply on weekends or public holidays. A valid concession card must be presented at each visit.
Warner Lakes Family Practice remains committed to delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare while adapting to the changing healthcare environment.
